Protection for Learners:
In compliance with Section 43 of the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act 1999, where Chevron Training & Development Ltd offers training programmes of 3 months duration or more, Learner Protection arrangements have been put in place with two other Fetac Registered Training Providers, should Chevron Training & Development Ltd cease to provide Fetac programmes before learners have completed awards.
OFTEC is the Oil Firing Technical Association for the Petroleum Industry.
Their mission is to drive innovation in the liquid fuel heating and cooking industry and within complimentary renewable technologies, and to deliver solutions for our members, registrants and customers.
Information to Learners
If you are engaging in a training programme of three months or more duration, Chevron Training is required by FETAC to implement robust procedures to safeguard your interests through our Protection for Learners policy.
Protection for Learners gives confidence to you the learner that if Chevron ceases to provide the training programme, two alternative providers are in place to complete the programme at no cost or disadvantage to you.
The minimum support provided by our alternative providers include:
- Completion of delivery of the programme
- Assessment of learners, including internal verification and external authentication arrangements
- The processing of results for certification
