Name: Shane Whelan

Details: Shane has been working as an Air Pressure Testing engineer providing building air leakage testing, energy auditing, SAP calculations, BER and various other buildings energy related consultancy projects for the past seven years including:

• Single Blower Door Test

• Commercial Multi-fan Test

• Trailer

• Mounted Fan Test

• Truck Mounted Fans

Originally trained by a UKAS company, his responsibilities included:

• Technical aspects of Air Testing Operations in Ireland.

• Implementation of quality procedures for UKAS accreditation.

• Improvements to testing procedures.

• Air Pressure test design.

Shane is an experienced lecturer with Chevron Training, with an excellent success rate in lecturing at our BER (Building Energy Rating) training courses. His qualifications include Mechanical and Electronics engineering, BER assessor training, BER lecturer training, lecturer traineeship, BINDT Accreditation in Air Pressure Testing and Build desk SAP Calculations.

Shane has carried out Air Permeability Testing for industry leading construction and engineering companies including:
