ONLINE COMBINED NEW & EXISTING DWELLINGS BER TRAINING COURSE SUMMARY

Course Duration: Approximately 40-50 hours in total, completed at your own pace

Delivery format: Online course + online assignments + classroom examination

Support Structure: Each online student will be assigned a tutor upon course commencement to answer any questions or queries that may arise during the course.

Accreditation: Level 6 FETAC Qualification and Chevron Training are an SEI Listed BER training provided.

Assessment: 3 online assignments and one final practical examination using the official version of the DEAP software.

Time Limit: Online students have the flexibility and benefit of completing the course over a 2 month time frame.

As of 27th of March 2009 there were over 2,555 registered assessors. A total of 6,329 people (including those currently registered) have successfully completed BER Assessor training courses. It is expected that some proportion of these qualified people can be expected to go on to register with SEI. SEI estimates that the equivalent of 1,000 full time active BER assessors would be required to meet the demands of the residential BER market.
