Course Objectives
Identify and respond appropriately to a child’s developmental needs in the home or in a childcare setting
Outline the physical development process of a child between 0-6 years
Describe and enhance a child’s cognitive and language development process
Explain the factors that influence a child’s emotional and social development
Understand the role of the childcare worker in a child’s development.

Entry Requirements
National Vocational Certificate Level 4 OR
Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant life and work experiences.
