CHILDCARE MANAGEMENT TRAINING COURSES
Early Childhood Education plays an integral role in the positive educational and social development of children. Therefore, it is imperative that all children are provided with high quality pre-school services.
The ECCE Scheme, a government initiative, incentivises the attainment of qualifications for those working within the childcare sector.
While the minimum requirements for the aforementioned scheme state that all pre-school leaders must hold a FETAC Level 5 Certificate, progression to a FETAC Level 6 qualification will be looked upon favourably.
FETAC Level 6 qualifications seek to provide learners with in-depth knowledge and skills pertaining to the provision of early childhood education services. The attainment of such a qualification is beneficial not only in terms of upskilling the learner, but the children attending the pre-school will benefit from higher level of service offered.
Chevron Training, the leading training company in Ireland, has introduced a comprehensive range of Childcare Management courses which will provide successful learners with FETAC Level 6 awards.
The eight separate FETAC Level 6 awards (Childhood Development, Early Childhood Programmes, Supervision in Childcare and Social & Legal Issues in Childcare, Health & Welfare of Children, Child Psychology, Early Childhood Language & Literacy and Therapeutic Play Skills) will equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfil the position of a Leader/Supervisor in a childcare setting.
Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme
The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme, which will offer a free pre-school year to all children from January 2010, outlines specific qualification requirements for all Leaders/Supervisors/Managers working in a pre-school service.
