The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, which includes the electronics industry, continues to act as a significant driver of the Irish economy. The exportation of electronic products account for a significant proportion of all ICT exports and therefore attracts investment and highly skilled professionals to the sector.
To sustain the vital contribution that this industry makes to the national economy, it is imperative that those individuals wishing to enter the electronics sector have attained the appropriate skill levels to develop a sustainable career within this sector.
Chevron Training, Ireland’s leading training provider, have developed a suite of electronics courses which focus on the construction, testing and fault finding of Analogue Electronics Circuits and Components, which are commonly found in amplifiers, Hi-Fi systems and control systems.
Learners have the opportunity to develop these skills at 3 distinct levels:

Electronic Circuits 1: Learners will be able to interpret, construct and evaluate basic popular circuits e.g. power supplies and timers.

Electronic Circuits 2: Learners will be able to analyse, construct and evaluate complex circuits.

Electronic Circuits 3: Learners will be able to construct, test and fault find extensive in-depth circuits e.g. Waveform Generators.
The attainment of any of these FETAC accredited awards will provide the foundation for the learner to enter an Electronics industry career e.g. Assembly, Testing, Repair, Fault Diagnosis etc.
Jobseekers who satisfy the criteria for FÁS funding , may be able to attend Chevron Training’s FÁS funded training courses for free, as they will be able to avail of up to 100% funding for the course fee.
