Occupational First Aid Training Courses - 2010
Course Duration: 3 days Course Times: 9am-5pm

The provisions of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 states that an employer has a duty to ensure that certified Occupational First Aiders are employed to administer First Aid in the Workplace.
The Health and Safety Authority provides guidance as to number of certified Occupational First Aiders required for specific sectors.
Chevron Training, Ireland’s leading training provider, delivers a suite of Occupational First Aid courses which will satisfy the legislative requirement for the provision of certified Occupational First Aiders in the workplace.
The FETAC Level 5 Occupational First Aid course will enable the participant to acquire the knowledge and skill to provide first aid in the workplace. Learners who achieve this qualification will be certified to administer first aid in the workplace for a 2 year period.
Certification expires after a 2 year period and in order to become recertified as an Occupational First Aider a 1 day refresher course must be completed.
Chevron Training utilise highly qualified and experienced trainers which appear on the Occupational First Aid Assessment Agent’s (OFAAA) register of training providers in the delivery of our Occupational First Aid courses.
Purpose:
This course is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding required to provide and coordinate first aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007.
Jobseekers who satisfy the criteria for FÁS funding , may be able to attend Chevron Training’s FÁS funded training courses for free, as they will be able to avail of up to 100% funding for the course fee.
