Chevron Training, Ireland’s leading private training provider, has become the first training provider to deliver the new FETAC accredited course, Gas Safety Domestic.
This practical, hands-on training course will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to safely carry out domestic gas works in accordance with applicable standards, legislation, guidelines, whilst working on their own initiative or in a supervisory capacity.
Furthermore, this course will comply with the qualification requirements set out by the Register of Gas Installers of Ireland (RGII) with regard to becoming a registered gas installer with the body. The RGII has been appointed by the Commission for Energy Regulation as the Gas Safety Supervisory Body (GSSB).
The requirement for increased regulation in this sector is derived from the high volume of gas appliances, gas burners and gas boilers currently installed in Irish homes.
Chevron Training’s Gas Safety Domestic course will be delivered in our bespoke mobile training laboratory, which contains the necessary equipment to deliver this practical course. The nature of the mobile laboratory means that learners can complete the training in a location which is convenient for them, thus eliminating the unnecessary travel and accommodation costs that can be incurred when participating on a training course. |
