Lighting Design Training Course presenter

Mr David Matyus-Flynn is a leading independent lighting consultant, who has been associated with the lighting industry for over 30 years, supplying lighting designs and specifications across all commercial sectors. He delivers lighting awareness courses throughout Europe on Energy Effective Lighting. David works as a consultant for Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI), lending his expertise on the principles of lighting. He specialises in reducing energy consumption through lighting design that is both effective and energy efficient.

David has received many awards and commendations for his designs of effective and energy efficient lighting schemes. He recently patented a luminaire specifically for hotels and the domestic sector, plus registering a design solution for the retail sector. David has successfully completed lighting projects for Heathrow Airport, outdoor sports facilities, swimming pools, shopping centres.

He has written a number of good practice guide publications on energy efficient lighting and is a regular speaker on lighting topics at national conferences. David is also a consultant to The Carbon Trust in UK.
