Micro Hydro Installer Training Course

Micro Hydro power is Ireland’s largest renewable energy generated power source and in recent years has accounted for 6% of Ireland’s total energy production. The opportunity to utilise this renewable resource is widespread and can reduce the volume of units imported from the grid, thus reducing a consumer’s energy costs substantially. Chevron Training, Irelands Largest Renewable Energy Training Provider is currently developing a comprehensive Micro Hydro Installer Training Course.

This course will cover the following topics:

• Site selection Assessing generation capacity Flow measurement Components of the system Equipment selection New technologies Environmental impact and licensing Planning considerations
• The role of Micro Hydro in Ireland

We are currently accepting registrations of interest from those interested in attending this hands on course when they launched in the 4th quarter of 2009. All applications will be dealt with on a strictly first come first served basis.

Jobseekers who satisfy the criteria for FÁS funding , may be able to attend Chevron Training’s FÁS funded training courses for free, as they will be able to avail of up to 100% funding for the course fee.
