Course Objectives

• Develop an increased awareness of the criteria by which self-teaching apparatus is evaluated

• Acquire skill in the use and presentation of the culture materials

• Recognise the benefits of the science, history and geography exercises to the developing child

• Acquire an understanding of the characteristics of the culture material

• Be able to initiate a child into the culture exercises

• Plan for continuity of learning experiences for children in the 3-6 year age range
