Implementation of Micro Scale Solar PV Systems

Purpose:
Equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to implement micro scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, up to 11kW.

  • Demonstrate the technical and practical skills required for Solar PV installations
  • Obtain specific knowledge skills about domestic or small commercial Solar PV sites

Electrical Installation and Commissioning of Microgenerators

It is essential that candidates participating on the Electrical Installation and Commissioning of Microgenerators course will have obtained the appropriate qualifications related to electrical installation, knowledge of the IEE Wiring Regulations and inspection and testing.

Purpose:
Equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to perform electrical installation, connection, testing and commissioning of micro generators with type approved network interfaces.

Objectives:

  • Acquire factual knowledge about microgeneration systems and their characteristics
  • Demonstrate knowledge of theoretical concepts and abstract thinking pertinent to the electrical design and installation of microgenerators
  • Implement work practices and select appropriate equipment for domestic or small commercial microgeneration installation
  • Obtain specific knowledge and skills about domestic or small commercial microgeneration installation
