Chevron Training are Irelands only ITC licensed infrared training provider
As Irelands only ITC licensed training provider, Chevron Training has access to internationally recognized training programmes. ITC licensing allows us provide students with thermography training developed by the worlds leading thermographers over the last 25 years.
It is this level of thermography experience (hands on and teaching) and expertise that allows us provide students with Irelands most recognized, practical, in-depth and interactive thermography training courses. The level of credibility provided by completing an ITC accredited training course, can be a significant competitive advantage to thermographers in the workplace.
ITC have emerged over the last 25 year as the worlds leading Thermography training institution. ITC certificates are accepted world wide without exception. ITC have trained more students; have more category III (ASNT, EN, ISO) staff and instructors, support staff and training equipment/application laboratories than any other infrared training organisation in the world.
All ITC infrared training is based on ISO standards, which a rich history in ASNT SNT-TC-1A recommended guidelines. ITC are also ISO 9001 certified. To ensure students know how to use their infrared cameras before they are certified, ITC training emphasizes a "hands-on" approach to teaching in the world's best-equipped infrared teaching facilities.
All ITC students infrared training course manuals, a CD containing infrared camera, software manuals, technical publications, free shareware and software utilities
Thermography allows the user visualize and measure where heat/energy is being emitted from an object, by using a specialised infrared camera.
All objects emit radiation based on their temperatures, thermography allows people to "see" their environment with or without visible illumination. The quantity of radiation released by an object increases with temperature, thermography allows one to see variations in temperature.
Everything with a temperature above zero degrees emits heat and is detected by the infrared camera. Thermal imaging cameras can detect heat radiation from any such object. The volume for heat flow and sources of heat can be measured based on the colouring on the camera. Thermographers study the colour variation in a image, this allows them determine the source of/reason for the heat radiation
Thermography has a wide variety of uses:
-
heat loss in buildings
-
veterinary
-
medical
-
manufacturing
-
policing
-
security
-
military
-
firefighting
-
power line maintenance
We offer 4 courses at present; a 5 day Level 1 Thermography course that provides you with ITC certification. This is a scientific course that focus on general scientific applications of thermography.
We also offer 3 practical courses; buildings thermography, equine thermography and electrical thermography, all of which are 3 days in duration.
