Level 1 Course Details
ITC Level 1 cert is globally recognised and is designed to exceed the requirements of international infrared certification standards. Infrared Thermography Certification is a written proof of your professional infrared qualifications. Our highly qualified instructors have level 3 ITC qualifications.
The training programme combines both theory and practical examples. The theoretical information helps students understand the problems that thermographers encounter in the real world. Theory is supplemented with hands-on, practical training which demonstrates some basic applications of thermography, such as identification of temperature variation within an object.
Each of our trainers are qualified to a level 3 standard, this enables them to teach the finer points of using the camera and provide you with the knowledge required to make maximum use of the tools at your disposal.
The course provides an introduction into infrared principles, the practical use of thermal imaging, how to perform measurements and understand results. This course is designed to ISO 18436 thermography standards.
Topics Covered:
Chevron training are an ITC licensed Thermal Imaging training provider. All ITC courses are internationally recognized and designed to exceed ASNT SNT-TC-1A guidelines.
To ensure students know how to use their infrared cameras before they are certified, ITC emphasize a "hands-on" approach to teaching. ITC courses cover all the infrared topics recommended by the ASNT guidelines and more, adding real-world topic that are important and relevant to students
Course duration: 5 days
Course Fee: €1995
Average class size: 9 students
Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the science of thermography, how and when thermography may be used, and how thermal imaging works. A large proportion of the course will be dedicated to teaching students how to use the camera:
The course will also cover other introductory issues such as:
-
Subject evaluation pre thermal imaging scan
-
Developing an appropriate plan of action
-
Performing the on-site evaluation and hands-on use of tools, instrumentation and testing equipment
-
Interpreting the data
The ITC Certification process requires students to attend an infrared certification/training course, pass closed-book examinations and quizzes, and submit a field assignment demonstrating understanding of their application and proper use of the infrared camera. Students maintain their infrared certification by active participation in, and continuing education of, their Infrared Thermography skills. |
